Tuesday, November 4th, 2014

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of collaborating with the the talented and lovely Cherry Dollface and Bomber Betty Cosmetics at the New England Shake-Up. It was a long day but, many beautiful women and images came out of the day.   It was a great time meeting these ladies and many laughs. I hope they will return next year.Vintage Girl StudiosVintage Girl StudiosVintage Girl StudiosWatch the session here.

ReVamped Las Vegas Pt.1 with Luci Lux

Thursday, September 27th, 2012

Last week I had worked with a beautiful confident woman by the name of Luci Lux. Not only is she a wonderful model she is also a talented hair and make up artist that has been living in Las Vegas for ten years. She was so friendly and easy to work with. I hope to see her again when business takes me west. Our session was at the Elcortez Cabana Suites located in Downtown LasVegas.”

ReVamped Little Queenie at Horseneck Beach and Sayles Mill Photo Collabrative

Wednesday, June 20th, 2012

This week Revamped session was with the amazing model Queenie at Horseneck Beach Westport, Ma.

This session was inspired by photographer and model Bunny Yeager.

Born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, U.S. Yeager became one of the most photographed models in Miami. After retiring from modeling, she began her career behind the camera. She met Bettie Page in 1954, and took most of the photographs of her that year.[1] Along with photographer Irving Klaw, Yeager played a role in helping to make Page famous, particularly with her photos in Playboy magazine.[1] Yeager is also credited with discovering the model Lisa Winters.[citation needed] Following Page’s retirement, Yeager remained a successful photographer. She took the well-known still images of Ursula Andress on the beach in the 1962 James Bond film Dr. No, and discovered many other notable models.[1] In 1968 she played the role of a Swedish masseuse opposite Frank Sinatra in Lady In Cement.[1]

When I first started to really photograph Pin- up a few years ago in my searches I had come across Bunny Yeager’s website.

At the time was was still working. I had ordered a many of her books and they all came signed. How amazing and what an inspiration. I still have her business card in a place or honor in my studio.

For more images and movie from this session Check out the Vintage Girl Studios Blog or The VGS Facebook page.

Where have I been!

Sunday, April 15th, 2012

I know  have not been blogging on this site but that is about to change. Vintage Girl Studios has been such a  success that it has almost taken over my studio. So much so that I have limited the weddings I do per year.  Now that the new studio has been completed and VGS is moving in the direction I hoped for, some real thought and attention will be going into updating this site.  This will be starting weekly. I have started a New Facebook Page  for KHP where I will be adding images weekly.  I have added a 2010 and 2011 to the wedding gallery on this site. Keep posted for more images here!!

Vintage Girl Studios and House Calls

finalvgs

April 14,2010

I want all my clients to know that I have recently left Providence Pin- Up and will be opening, Vintage Girl Studios, a service of Krzystyna Harber Photography.

As PPU’s co-founder, I spent countless hours developing the business and exploring concept-based, pin-up photography.   My time there was well spent!  We did some wonderful things.

Now, however, I’m so excited about moving to a new studio to start this project.  I plan to take the photography in a different direction and to offer more personal and attentive service.

UPDATE 2021:
I cannot believe that 11 years have gone by since this blog was posted.  I remembered writing it I was very nervous, scared, and had a lot of feelings. My children were so young and I had found my purpose in my art. Could this be an actual business? Will this work? I was also feeling a bit lonely in my vision with past partners. I was lucky to have the support of my husband and family through this journey. I made it a mission to have a unique studio that would empower all people through vintage glamour photography.
Over the past eleven years, we have had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of people in the studio, been to countless events, made dreams come true, created so much art, partnered with small businesses, donated our services, and made so many friends.
I truly love what I do and will not be stopping.

VGS will be around for many years to come. Our team truly loves what we do.

It has come to my attention that my past project is  no longer active.  If you are looking for any stylist or photographer that worked with that project,  contact us and we will do our best to send you in their direction.

Last week during my move I received a phone call for a maternity session.   I was not taking appointments until the 12th, but I realized she was in her 38th week – so we made it work!

To accommodate, we did a home session where I set up the studio in her living room and outside her home.  I’m so excited to work with them again and to soon meet Baby.

Week of February 15th

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

This  was a very busy week.

Providencepinup.com’s Jason Andrade was voted one of Providence Monthly’s most eligible bachelor.  Lulu, Ivan, and I went to support him at the PM Party at the Hotel Providence.

It was great to see Everything Events coordinating the speed dating. We had a lot of laughs.

H2F is a pin-up/rockabilly boutique in Pawtucket, RI.   On the 13th they had an event with bands in their building.  I have not had photographed music in so long – it brought back a lot of memories.

If you would like to view more photos from these events they are in the Public Gallery on the client page of my site.
