I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my wonderful clients for making my studio one of  the “Best of Weddings” pick for 2010 on The Knot .  This award is so special to me because it is all based on past clients.  This is the first time that I have received the “Best of Weddings”  award and I am so thrilled.  I admit that I got a little teary eye opening the the plaque yesterday.  Thank you so much!

I have been very busy this June. I wanted to share this lovely wedding with you. I was very excited to do their formals  at  The Marble House in Newport.  I’ve been doing so much research for Vintage Girl Studios, and it was great to have such a beautiful and historical setting as a backdrop for the wedding photos.

As most of you probably know, I’ve been working on my new project,  Vintage Girl Studios.

My latest session was filmed at The Lippitt House Museum with, Kristen Minsky, a talented cabaret performer/artist who currently resides here in Providence.  She is also the producer of Chifferobe, a vintage cabaret night.

The movie of this session was filmed by Michelle McNamara of  Fresh Focus Productions and the Music is performed by Janet Klein.  We had so much fun and I think it really comes through in the work.  I hope that you enjoy these shots!

I have been working with  Providence Monthly over the past year.  This session with Elizabeth Hopkins of the Rhode Show was shot for the Style section.   Elizabeth looked so fabulous.   This shoot was one of my first  in the new studio, and I love having having the extra room and equipment.

I’m also gearing up for Vintage Girl Studios’ May Pearl Session next Sunday. Remember All Clients have special rates for this service of my studio. Watch a session here.

Vintage Girl Studios and House Calls

I want all my clients to know that I have recently left Providence Pin- Up and will be opening, Vintage Girl Studios, a service of Krzystyna Harber Photography.

As PPU’s co-founder, I spent countless hours developing the business and exploring concept-based, pin-up photography.   My time there was well spent!  We did some wonderful things.

Now, however, I’m so excited about moving to a new studio to start this project.  I plan to take the photography in a different direction and to offer more personal and attentive service.

Last week during my move I received a phone call for a maternity session.   I was not taking appointments until the 12th, but I realized she was in her 38th week – so we made it work!

To accommodate, we did a home session where I set up the studio in her living room and outside her home.  I’m so excited to work with them again and to soon meet Baby.

January was such a busy and exciting month for  the studio.   Besides  meeting with new brides and meeting return client’s babies, I got to work with Project Runway’s Johnathan Peters for Providence Monthly.

The studio has been extremely busy lately and I want to share some of the things I’ve been up to during the holiday season.

I photographed a winter wedding last week and got this great image.  I think it is one of my favorites of the year.

Santa made a return visit  to the studio and we had some fun holiday sessions.

I photographed this wedding a few weeks ago and I received a very nice note from Mrs. B.

I wanted to share with you about my approach to your wedding day.

Hi Krzystyna,

Just wanted to take the time to thank you for the amazing job you did with my
wedding last month. Even though I haven't seen pictures I am just thrilled with
the job you did. My bridal party was driving me nuts and the make up artist who
was so sweet at my trial was moody and cold.
You were a ray of sunshine when you walked in.
My girls were gabbing and not getting dressed and we had the issue with the one
flower girl and the other 2 were all over the place. You were so adaptable and
always had a smile on your face. I know it wasn't the easiest place to shoot
(my hotel room was too small; the Radisson is not exactly Blithewald Mansion)
but you managed to find great poses and locations nonetheless.
I know I wasn't one of those brides that had a long list of 'must have poses'
but all your ideas were creative and fabulous. I want you to know that I was
really miserable getting ready because of the stress but your 'Can Do' attitude
brightened my day and got me ready to walk down the aisle.
I am so grateful I was able to fit you into my budget and will be giving you
nothing but the highest recommendation to future brides.
In fact, I definitely plan on contacting you in the future when I'm ready to do
a TTD session or be a Providence Pin up(love the idea of being a vintage glam
star for a day;)
Anyway, just wanted to say thank you and cannot wait to see the pictures!!

Warmly,
J.B.

I think she will be happy.
