2010_BOW_web_120x120

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my wonderful clients for making my studio one of  the “Best of Weddings” pick for 2010 on The Knot .  This award is so special to me because it is all based on past clients.  This is the first time that I have received the “Best of Weddings”  award and I am so thrilled.  I admit that I got a little teary eye opening the the plaque yesterday.  Thank you so much!

I have been very busy this June. I wanted to share this lovely wedding with you. I was very excited to do their formals  at  The Marble House in Newport.  I’ve been doing so much research for Vintage Girl Studios, and it was great to have such a beautiful and historical setting as a backdrop for the wedding photos.

Gearing up for wedding season with engagements.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I’ve been a bit busy this spring with engagement sittings.  It is so great to have some more one-on-one time with my couples.  I love asking how the wedding plans are coming along.Untitled-2

I’ve also been doing a lot of work in the studio on Vintage Girl Studios as well.   There is a lot of things in 2010 planned for this new project. Remember, KHP clients will receive a special rate for this service.   Check out the Vintage Girl Studios site.

December 2009

The studio has been extremely busy lately and I want to share some of the things I’ve been up to during the holiday season.

I photographed a winter wedding last week and got this great image.  I think it is one of my favorites of the year.

I photographed this wedding a few weeks ago and I received a very nice note from Mrs. B.

I wanted to share with you about my approach to your wedding day.

Hi Krzystyna,

Just wanted to take the time to thank you for the amazing job you did with my
wedding last month. Even though I haven't seen pictures I am just thrilled with
the job you did. My bridal party was driving me nuts and the make up artist who
was so sweet at my trial was moody and cold.
You were a ray of sunshine when you walked in.
My girls were gabbing and not getting dressed and we had the issue with the one
flower girl and the other 2 were all over the place. You were so adaptable and
always had a smile on your face. I know it wasn't the easiest place to shoot
(my hotel room was too small; the Radisson is not exactly Blithewald Mansion)
but you managed to find great poses and locations nonetheless.
I know I wasn't one of those brides that had a long list of 'must have poses'
but all your ideas were creative and fabulous. I want you to know that I was
really miserable getting ready because of the stress but your 'Can Do' attitude
brightened my day and got me ready to walk down the aisle.
I am so grateful I was able to fit you into my budget and will be giving you
nothing but the highest recommendation to future brides.
In fact, I definitely plan on contacting you in the future when I'm ready to do
a TTD session or be a Providence Pin up(love the idea of being a vintage glam
star for a day;)
Anyway, just wanted to say thank you and cannot wait to see the pictures!!

Warmly,
J.B.

I think she will be happy.

Week of August 30th.

I had such a great wedding yesterday.  Hurricane Danny made it rain for the entire day and it challenged my lightning skills to the max.

I may have a sore back today from carrying the extra bags of equipment, but it was well worth it.

I would like to start off this post with a personal photo.

On Friday we celebrated my husband’s grandparent’s 65th Wedding Anniversary. I’m with so many people on their first day of marriage.  Can you imagine 65 years?

Congratulations Bill and Jill!

I was in the bamboo garden at Blithewold Mansion  in Bristol earlier this month.

Hurricane Bill made my photos this weekend.  I was so excited to photograph on the beach Saturday.

Bridal Trial 72009

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

On Providencepinup.com I work with great stylist, Lulu Locks, and make-up artist, Jessica Berndt.  If you decide to use all three of our services for your wedding, I include a head shot at the time of the trial featuring different lighting and angles.

Week of July12th

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

I was away last week doing beach sessions. I will have more on that on the next week’s post.

I photographed this wedding before I left. The bride had mentioned that she loves color. We took a walk through Spring Street in Newport to find the right houses that would make her photos stand out.

On July 4th I had an engagement session with S and P. I had photographed her sister’s engagement session last year on the beach.  S. really wanted something different with more of the city as a backdrop.

Week of July 1st.

Rain has not gotten me down. I love overcast.  Colors pop! A little gray is sometimes great!

Week of June 19th

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Today I had a pre-bridal session with S. I was very happy that we had a break in the weather to walk down the street. I love doing sessions at my studio because I am always coming up with ideas as I walk to work.
