Rita Hayworth ReVamped

Thursday, May 24th, 2012

This week’s Vintage Girl Studios ReVamped session is Rita Hayworth.

Rita Hayworth (born Margarita Carmen Cansino; October 17, 1918 – May 14, 1987) was an American dancer and film actress who garnered fame during the 1940s as one of the era’s top stars. Appearing first as Rita Cansino, she agreed to change her name to Rita Hayworth and her hair color to dark red to attract a greater range in roles. Her appeal led to her being featured on the cover of Life magazine five times, beginning in 1940

Vintage Girl Studios/ ReVamped series

Monday, May 14th, 2012

Vintage Girl Studios is starting a new creative series called Revamped. Weekly this spring we will bring you new images inspired by images or people from the 20s, 30s, 40s. This week our session was inspired by Dancer Marion Benda who appeared in several Ziegfeld productions during the 1920’s. We had found the left image on the FB site @”Ziegfeld Follies Tribute “Glorifying the American Girl”.
