I’ve had such a busy week. I’ve been so involved with portrait sessions lately, but wedding season is sneaking up fast. This week I had a shoot with C., who is expecting a little girl. We had a lot to talk about since our children are close in age. Later in the spring, we will doing another session at her home along with her 2yr old. We decided the natural environment of her home is best for the next stage of her pregnancy portraits. For situation like that I will usually charge a two for one sitting fee.

Well spring is in the air and we have some things going on at the studio. As you may know we have art shows throughout the year. We had our first of the season last Thursday.
The show was the Providence installation of the series, titled: Objects of Dysconsumption: Candy Stripers – Edible Art by Eve and Bowie.
The teeth and blood viles were yummy, but left me with a stomache ache the next day. I’m sure Eve and Bowie would be pleased to know this.

Saturday- Theater students came by for headshots. They got a great rate because there were so many of them. I love the outtakes. THEY WERE SOOOO FIERCE.
Group sittings are great because of the energy and variety. Whether at your office or family party, I’m available for studio or location group shoots. Just email me for details.

Did I go to the mountains to photograph? No, I went into my Backyard in Smith Hill. Hunter is a fierce kitty that rules our neighborhood.
We are getting ready to have some Art shows at the Studio.
PPS Most Endangered Properties Traveling Photography Exhibit at the Holden St. Gallery 4/4 – 4/18. (opening reception 4/4/08 6-9pm)
We will also be having a real cool artist Brian Alves from 5/3-5/18. There will be more to come. Check his work out at www.artconduit.net
Even though the studio is busy with art shows during those weeks, we are not closed to shooting. The weather is getting warmer and the location sessions will begin again soon.
I can’t wait until spring.

I had this great shoot with H. She’s so busy that she could not make it to her Alumni magazine photographer. I had worked with her in the past and she gave me a call. We had a great talk about the independent woman life.

I know I ‘ve been posting many images of Oskar and Ella. I can’t help it. They are my favorite subjects!

I got some new studio equipment this week. I’ve had a couple of fun shoots since then. I’m loving the new stuff and, for some reason, I’ve been digging the sepia tones lately.

I had a dream about this photo that I had taken ten years ago when I started shooting weddings. It ’s very strange to think I’ve been doing this so long.
I went to my archived negatives and found it in a few minutes. At that moment I decided to organize my Personal & Art photos from the past few years. I’m almost finished.

This week I only had a couple of things to do.
I had a Headshot in the studio with D. She had called in a panic because she was going for a job and needed it ASAP. Since my Studio is two blocks away I was able to help her out.She kept saying how much fun she was having.

I went to The Grand Bridal Show yesterday. It’s alway nice to see vendor friends. Please check out my links page for my favorites. I really love that show. The winter shows always get me excited for wedding season. I have a lot of ideas for great wedding photos for 08.

Today I photographed Ella and teddy Bear. Teddy was not into it so we cut the shoot short.
